What is the difference between georgette and chiffon

Silk georgette is very close in appearance to chiffon, but it is heavier than chiffon and has a dull, matte finish. Its crinkled texture offers more body and holds shapes slightly better than chiffon, though it still has considerable flow. This texture makes it forgiving and excellent for draping, as it can softly contour the body while offering a subtle volume.
Chiffon is lighter and more transparent than georgette, with a slight shimmer and a highly lustrous finish. It drapes and flows extremely well, making it ideal for airy, delicate garments that require a lot of movement. Chiffon's lightness allows it to gather beautifully, making it perfect for ruched, layered, or ruffled designs. It is often used in evening wear and bridal gowns because of its elegant and floaty appearance.
