Detailed classification method of silk fabrics

Silk fabrics can be divided into 35 categories according to the performance of the silk surface:

1. Double crepe: plain weave, no twist in warp, two left and two right strong twist in weft, the silk surface has a uniform crepe effect.

2. Georgette: plain weave, two left and two right strong twist in warp and weft, the texture is light and thin, the silk surface has yarn eyes and crepe effect.

3. Bi crepe, no twist in warp, bi crepe yarn (20/22Dx3 plus S twist 1600T/m, then 20/22D1 root, plus Z twist 1600T/m), is a fabric with fine wrinkles.

4. Shunyu: no twist in warp, unidirectional strong twist in weft, the silk surface has vertical wrinkles.

5. Taffeta: plain weave, warp and weft are first dyed, the texture is fine and crisp.

6. Electric spinning: plain weave fabric made of mulberry silk (from silkworm silk).

7. Thin spinning: plain weave fabric made of mulberry silk with a weight of 6m/m or less per square meter.

8. Silk spinning: plain weave fabric made of silk in both warp and weft.

9. Cotton silk: plain weave fabric made of drawn silk in both warp and weft.

10. Double palace: fabric made of double palace silk in whole or in part.

11. Knot: fabric with knot effect made of knot and bamboo knot silk in whole or in part.

12. Star pattern: fabric made of crepe tissue.

13. Rib: fabric with light horizontal stripes on one or both sides.

14. Flower thread: fabric made of flower twist thread or color matching thread in whole or in part.

15. Stripe: fabric with horizontal and vertical stripe pattern on the silk surface.

16. Grid: Fabric with a grid pattern on the silk surface.

17. Cool and transparent: Use false yarn tissue to form an air-permeable fabric with yarn-like eyes.

18. Yarn-dyed: Fabric that uses all or part of colored silk.

19. Double-sided: Fabric that uses triple tissue and has the same type of twill or satin tissue on both the front and back sides.

20. Concave and convex: Fabric with concave and convex patterns.

21. Mountain shape: Fabric that uses mountain shape or zigzag twill tissue to present obvious mountain shape or zigzag flower shape.

22. Flower: Jacquard fabric.

23. Trimmed flower: Trimmed jacquard fabric.

24. Glossy: Pure human silk fabric with glossy viscose silk or semi-gloss cuprammonium silk.

25. Matte: Pure human silk fabric with matte viscose silk or matte cuprammonium silk.

26. Flash: Fabrics that are made of pure or interwoven glossy, super-glossy, shaped cross-section synthetic filaments to create a flashing effect.

27. Bright: Fabrics that are made of pure or interwoven gold, silver, and aluminum foil to create a bright effect.

28. Raw: Fabrics made of raw silk without scouring.

29. Special dyeing: Fabrics that are made of two-color or tie-dyeing effects using special dyeing techniques such as tie-dyeing for the warp or weft.

30. Printed warp: Fabrics that are woven after being printed on the warp.

31. Brushed: Fabrics that have been brushed.

32. Vertical velvet: Fabrics that have been vertical velvet.

33. Kimono: Fabrics with a width of less than 40 cm, or fabrics with slits of less than 40 cm in the entire fabric, for processing special kimono products.

34. Strip: Plain weave fabrics with large strips of tussah for warp and weft.

35. Kesi: A special silk fabric with plain weave or other weaves made by passing the warp and breaking the weft.
